I really think, if you don't know about this designer already - you should look her up. The up and coming shoe designer has taken the fashion world by storm producing some of the most on trend and innovative designs on the market. Maconie began her label in 2009, after working in buying and product development and then moving into recruitment. The crave of hands on design and creativity became too much and Kat began making time for her own designs.
I would be lying if I didn't say that these are some of the tastiest designs I have seen in a long time. She has kept the staple style throughout her collections whilst adding broad colour palettes and interesting textures and materials. The footwear is now stocked in Harvey Nichols and Selfridges, as well as the designs being involved in some very exciting collaborations including Dune and Felder Felder.
Kat's signiture gold frames and heeled sandles have meant that she has become a competitive player in the field of shoe design. In 2013 she was awarded with the Shoe Designer of the Year award - a prestigious and very impressive award for any aspiring designer. I personally love the shape of the shoes, thick set heels are most certainly a MUST HAVE this season and teaming this with floral prints and gold plates results in a great selection to choose from - accommodating the casual shoe to team with your maxi dress in the summer or a smarter look to match your LBD for a late night bar visit. The platform adds both comfort and impact.
